The Hartsdale Launcher project completed for Enbridge in 2010 included fabrication and installation of a 36” diameter launcher. The project presented many challenges including working around all existing utilities, requiring the excavation to be completed using hydrovac methods only. The hydrovac excavation was self-performed by Roberts utilizing our own equipment. Additional challenges included the ground water level, as this project was completed near Griffith, IN where the ground water level can range between one to three feet. Our installation was nearly 15 feet deep, which required an extensive dewatering operation that was self-performed by the Roberts crew.
